ℹ️
Quick Summary

We use essential cookies to keep the site working (you can't opt out of these), and optional cookies for analytics and personalization. You can change your preferences at any time using the button in the sidebar or footer.

1What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.

We also use similar technologies including:

  • Local Storage / Session Storage — browser-side data storage for keeping you logged in
  • Web beacons / tracking pixels — tiny images used to track email opens and page loads
  • Fingerprinting data — aggregated device/browser attributes used for fraud prevention only
  • SDK data — on our mobile apps, SDKs serve equivalent purposes to cookies

All references to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies.

2How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you securely logged in to your account
  • Remember your job search preferences and filters
  • Personalize job recommendations based on your browsing behavior
  • Measure how features are used so we can improve them
  • Detect and prevent fraud and bot traffic
  • Deliver relevant advertising on other platforms (with your consent)
  • Enable customer support chat functionality

3Cookie Categories

We categorize our cookies as follows. Click each category to expand details.

4Third-Party Cookies

5Consent Banner

When you first visit TaIQ, you will see a consent banner (shown below). We only place non-essential cookies after you give consent. Your preference is stored in the tb_consent cookie for 12 months.

We implement our consent banner in compliance with:

  • GDPR Article 7 — freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent
  • ePrivacy Directive — prior consent for non-essential cookies
  • IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) 2.2
  • CCPA — right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information

6Managing Your Cookie Preferences

On TaIQ

Use the ⚙️ Manage My Cookie Preferences button (in the sidebar or footer) at any time to change your consent choices. Changes take effect immediately.

Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will impair Platform functionality:

  • Chrome — Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
  • Safari — Preferences → Privacy
  • Edge — Settings → Site Permissions → Cookies

7Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for honoring DNT signals, TaIQ does not currently respond to DNT browser settings. Instead, we rely on our consent management platform for your privacy choices.

California residents may use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. We honor GPC signals as required by the CCPA/CPRA.

8Cross-Device Tracking

If you are logged into your TaIQ account on multiple devices, we may associate your usage across those devices to provide a consistent experience (e.g., syncing saved jobs). This is based on your account login, not probabilistic fingerprinting.

For users who have consented to marketing cookies, our advertising partners may use cross-device matching to show you relevant ads across platforms. You can opt out by disabling marketing cookies in your preferences.

9Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves or legal requirements change. When we make significant changes, we will:

  • Display a notice on our cookie consent banner
  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • Re-request your consent where required by law
